The Marketing Minute Minimize

Everyday in my work I am confronted with brand new marketing challenges, but the solutions are rarely new ones. Rather, a process of "connecting the dots" with tried and true basics usually delivers appropriate solutions. The creativity of that process is what makes my job a exciting; it often feels like starting a brand new job everyday! This blog is meant to be a compilation of my observations of those basics, and maybe a few examples of how we integrated them into real world solutions. Looking forward to your feedback

Brad Templeton does a fabulous job of clarifying the issue of copyright laws, which translate directly to the development of much content use from the web. For our clients who want to "get it right" as they build their marketing infrastructure, this is a GREAT read... the rest of Brad's site is terribly interesting as well.. don't get too lost exploring it, like I did!! :)

More people are viewing video online all the time. Bill Gates is even predicting that online video will replace TV. How important is this trend for you? And how do you get your video in front of viewers?
The trend began in 2006, with maybe 10 percent of web surfers saying they watched video online. Then Techcrunch reported a survey from Motorola that revealed 45 percent of European broadband users watch at least some TV online. Those numbers date to May 2007; today they’re quite a bit higher.

Users can feel lost even in a relatively small information space that is not well organized. The problem becomes even greater when you consider the possibility that people can arrive at any given web page from any other page on the web.
